What’s Wrong with Gavin Taylor?

By John Q Scribe, Professional Wrestler’s Digest

Look, I don’t want to be the one who has to say it. As someone who has followed the career of Gavin Taylor from the get-go, it really pains me. I’m pained to think about the hours, days, weeks, and – indeed – the years I’ve spent following this young man’s once-promising professional wrestling career have been a waste. But, like anyone else, I eventually have to come and make some hard realizations. And right now, the realization is simply this:

There is something wrong with Gavin Taylor.

One need only look at the start of the year to now, four months in. On February 22nd, Gavin took on and defeated “The One” Kirsten Scott. He won the match! Two months later, their paths have gone in opposite directions. Gavin just opened SCW’s inaugural “Taking The Leap” event, while Kirsten challenged the World Champion on it.

These are not convergent paths.

In the months since February 22 in Vancouver, Gavin has appeared listless. He’s been a Kit Kat without a break: nothing has worked, and it almost appears as if he is coasting at this point – he’s on autopilot. And if he wants to get over the hill, he needs to take the controls once again.

I’m not saying this is all doom and gloom for The All-Star. He has proven before that, when motivated, he can compete with the best of them. But if he’s not motivated… then that presents a bigger problem.
